The Alaskan Klee Kai was bread in the 1970s to essentially create a micro-husky dog. Bred from the Alaskan Malamute, American Eskimo, and Schipperke dog, the Klee Kai capitalized on America's love affair with large northern dogs by creating a smaller, family-friendly version.
