As long as there have been vampires, there has been the lesbian vampire trope. Popularized in the late 18th century poem "Christabel" and the 1874 novella "Carmilla" that inspired Bram Stoker's more famous Dracula. Today, we see modern interpretations of les-vamps in The Vampire Diaries, True Blood, and Buffy The Vampire Slayer amoung others. Carmilla is a combanation of these famous ladies.
