Vladimir (Didi) and Estragon (Gogo) are two men waiting at the side of the road, trying to keep an appointment with someone who doesn't seem fit to show up. During their wait, they meet Pozzo and his servant Lucky. This chance meeting, while eventful, serves only as a brief distraction; as Didi and Gogo continue to wait.
