Lawrence grew up in the big city and had a loving household but he had trouble keeping friends. He only had one good friend growing up. They were so close some people thought they were siblings. When they became teens they found out she had a dibilitating illness which keep her in the hospital beds for days on end. He felt so helpless and decided that he would do anything to make her laugh.
