Maui and Hinemihi are both Sulanian's. Hinemihi is a half-cast so she had a hard time growing up, for looking "white". Maui had been her good friend since early school years. Maui always thought she was so beautiful and kne she cared about her tribe, but his father Tinirau said he must marry a full blooded Sulanian.
