Shelly became pregnant when she was still in HS. The father wanted nothin to do with them after that & left. Shelly vowed then to make a good life for her baby & herself. She got into a great company in the city & worked hard to get up the ladder. They didn't come from money so, instilling that leadership mindset to Dakota feels important. Dakota does admire her mom & strives to be strong like her. It's just hard to keep friends when you try to take charge of everything..#SBR
