Mara is a young teen, with aspirations to become a model, and her mother is an ex-model, though she had to give up on her dreams after she got pregnanant with Mara. After they ran into some money troubles they were evicted from their house, and for the time being are staying with Jacqueline's sister Paige who runs the local animal shelter for Brindelton Bay.
