Sal Owens grew up in the foster system, and suffers from PTSD caused by years of neglect. The one constant in his life was the one thing that was truly his, a violin left to him by his birth mother. Playing the violin was Sal's outlet since he was old enough to play it, Once he turned 18, he moved to Oasis Springs and adopted Tommy as an emotional support animal.
