Well isn't this unfortunate. While in the middle of the forest performing a ritual that would've (hopefully) unlocked the dormant magical powers she was certain she had, Aylin unfortunately forgot that witches weren't the only beings that liked the full moon. Surrounded by lit candles and sitting in a sugar ritual circle, she was attacked and bitten by a werewolf.
