The Lycan family which consists of mostly Werewolves the only exceptions is Dawn and Averline. Dawn ran away to Moonwood Mill as a teen after arugement with her mother. On her first night in Moonwood Mill she had a run in with a Werewolf (Lowell) and that's how she got that scar!
