The Hawthorn Twins were raised with a poor homelife. With Avalynn being the oldest, she felt the need to protect her younger sister, Emily, so they moved out at the age of 16. The twins later found an abandoned puppy on the side of the road of their apartment complex and took him in, naming the strong puppy Zeus.
