She has constant arguments with Gotz about his laziness, lack of care for the vineyard, and her wanting to leave to the city. She is fond of the "juice" they make at the vineyard. Gotz is a gruff and irritable man who cares deeply for Karen but doesn't know how to express it. Sasha is a very kind and caring woman.
