In a box of old books delivered to Moonwood Mill, there was a book with Pete's name on on it. It was only when read. that Pete magically appeared, and they realized it was a Book of Life. Unbeknownst, and lost to time, was that Pete had been a clockmaker enlisted to create the first Moonlit Fable Wall Clock. Shortly after, his wife was killed fighting vampires.
