After the death of her mother Kerri, Holly Wintergreen (a keen environmentalist) invited her childhood sweetheart Connor O' Neill to move into the farmhouse with her and her elderly father, professional gardener Percy. Shortly afterwards, Connor's mother died suddenly in a tragic (and very cold) accident, leaving behind Connonr's teenage sister Niamh and two little brothers.
