Storybrooke's nuns had powerful beginings as fairies in the Enchanted Forest. Tinker Bell was one of them for a time, but was banished by Blue after overstepping her boundaries. They came to a world without magic as nuns living in a convent, but after the curse was broken, their magical powers came back.
