Amaris' and her parents were well liked by the residents of the town they governed over many centuries ago for being fair and just. This peace didn't last howver. Vampires caught wind of their location and burnt the house down. Amaris' parents guided her to their slumbering chambers deep underground to save her, but were killed by falling debris.
