Cairvelle Asylum is supposed to rehabilitate the mentally sick. When Annette O'Shea, a hardworking journalist, is thrown in there against her will, she is determined to get out. She learns that the head of the facility, Doctor Cameron Woodward, is a sadistic madwoman who tortures her patients to the extent of their limits.
