A notably heavier, less athletic Bulldog. The Johnson type American Bulldog is a protective, and at times more strong willed dog than the Scott type that is great for property guarding. Some have a higher prey drive than others. Some are not fans of other dogs. Usually best for intermediate to experienced owners, not so much first time owners.
