Clifford has two daughters who he raises at the upstairs apartment above the record shop he owns. He loves music but doesn't play much and rather just show of his karaoke skills to his kids instead, or maybe annoy them a little with it. His oldest, Mariko, graduated highschool not too long ago and works with his in the record shop, but she longs to be a rockstar.
