Starting as a little girl, I did my best to blend in and not draw attention to myself. My favorite colors were pink & purple but I couldn't wear them. As a redheaded, freckle faced, chubby girl, I was tortured and ridiculed every day at school. They literally threw rocks and chanted, "I'd rather be dead than red on the head".
