I've been struggling for a proper portrait of him after the suggestion of #TheLonnykins about creating him for the #LGBThistoryProject by #elftrollork. This is as good as it gets. He was an emblematic member of the Generation of '27, a group consisting of mostly poets who introduced symbolism, futurism, and surrealism into Spanish literature. He was gay and had a platonic affair with Salvador Dalí. He was executed by Nationalist forces at the beginning of the Spanish Civil War in 1936. :_(
