Bennie and Melvin met in their 40's in their workplace, where Bennie was an astronaut, and Melvin was working on the modules. They quickly became buddies, and stayed in touch for years. When Bennie's lovely wife, Lonnie, passed away, Melvin promised his friends' son he's take care of him. So, he moved in to keep him company.
