Orphaned Mermaids
Nalani and Ailani were orphans, luckily they were orphans on the island of Sulani, which menat they had an entire community to look out for them! Still it wouldn't be easy, keeping up with school, and keeping the family secret - the whole merfolk thing - from coming to light while also looking after her toddler sister.
