Born with two #hippie parents (#Joplin fans obv.) Janis grew up with a deep #love for #nature. Her son, River Echo, like a typical #millennial, fears #climatechange to the point of #depression. To make ends meet, they rent out a room to Heather and her daughter #Tiana. Tired of being told she can "pass as white" if she'd only straighten her hair, or that she doesnt talk or dress black enough, Heather tries to raise Tiana to be #proud of herself, and not see the world as merely black and white.
