Today was the late #french #revered #politician, #Holocaust #survivor & #women's #rights #defender #SimoneVeil's burial in #Paris #Pantheon with her husband, the only fourth woman to be given the #rare #honour of a burial at the Panthéon, the #resting place of #France’s #greats. A crowd of thousand gathered this Sunday to pay #tribute to a #modern woman who's also a #symbol of the #deportation of #jewish #people during the #SecondWorldWar & #health #minister to legalise contraception & abortion.
