Aftrer losing her husband to the war while pregnant with a second set of twins, Alice learned a very valuable lesson about leaning into the support system around her, and she and Edith are on much better terms now. It helps that Edith (and Oscar before his passing) have been incredibly supportive with the children since the loss of Walter.
