Albinism runs on Leilani's side of the family. Madison was adopted by Leilani and Dalton after she was orphaned as a tween (Dauntless is a dangerous place). Joelle and Madison are close as they are the only sisters. Madison is Dauntless through and through, but Joelle might be Erudite. Jody and Cyrus have already chosen Dauntless.
