Real characters of the movie M. Butterfly made in 1993 (based off a play). It's a romantic story about a French diplomat accused of giving secrets to his Chinese Lover (who was both a spy and a man unbeknownst to him.) They were in love secretly for years but the naiive Rene never caught on. Only seeing each other periodically made it easy for Song to keep secrets. I love this movie & would recommend it.
