Jodi moves back to her hometown, Willow Creek, after accidentally becoming pregnant with her daughter Elsie. She left her dreams of becoming an author behind so she can focus on working to support her daughter. She first started her home garden as an activity to use to bond with Elsie, but after entering the competition once she experiences the thrill of it all and becomes borderline obssessed.
