Credited as the inspiration for WWE's Bray Wyatt, Waylon Mercy was a character portrayed by Dan Spivey. Waylon Mercy was based off Max Cady from Cape Fear, & shook hands with fans, the referee & his opponent before brutalizing his opponent.
