Mandi was born and raised in Mt. Komorebi by her single mom (who was very into tradition) and was taught to always be neat and proper. When Mandi had become a YA she decided to do things her own way. So she cut her hair, started wearing clothes she liked and explored her sexuality. She also started going out more and she one night stumbled into Skylar at a Karoeke Bar and she could not help but ask for her number.
