To prevent Prince Phillip from saving Aurora, Maleficent transforms him into a beast known as the Yaoguai, until Belle uses fairy dust turning him back into a human. He befriends Mulan and together they search for Aurora. After finding her, he wakes her with true love's kiss, then the three of them are attacked by a wraith.
