Tarak descends from the Apache tribe of Native American Indians. His name means 'Star Warrior/Chief', however, to the slight disappointment of his parents, he prefers to stay out of the limelight and longs to lead a quiet life outdoors, rather than lead. At 24, he built a boat and fled his hometown, but was met with a great storm that threw him onto an island with no name and two powerful gods.
