Ella is a retired diamond agent, widow, mother of 3, and a grandmother of one (Melissa). Last year, her first born, Veronica died of breast cancer, and Veronica had one daughter Melissa who was only 4 at the time. So, Ella decided to take Melissa in and raise her.
