The doll was already cursed and bringing it to life opened a doorway in the church. Damen's eyes are always white now because he's constantly possesed. Pritests have tried to rid him of demons but it hasn't worked. Damen is famous and movies were made about him. (First witch I made after the spellcaster eye update)
