Nathan Scott was a bit of a lonewolf. He was the local assisant to the the old Sherif Callaway of Strangerville, and also the town's vet. He was known as closer to the animals around the town and country side than to anyone else. However he still expected to take over as Sherif for ol' Callaway when he stepped down.
