Henry Blair born 1807, a slave invented seeders for both corn and cotton to increase efficiency. At the time of his patent in 1832, Blair was a freedman but 20 years later, 1857 it was overturned by a slave owner that "all the fruits of the slave's labor" was the rights of the owner.
