Chiang Kai-shek
#JiangJieshi (#Chinese: #蔣介石, 31 October 1887 – 5 April 1975), also known as #ChiangKaishek, was a Chinese #Nationalist #politician (#Kuomintang), #revolutionary and #military #leader who #served as the #president of the #RepublicofChina between 1928 until his #death, first in #mainland #China during the #war with #Japan, until the #end of the Chinese #CivilWar in 1949, when he and his #government #fled to #Taiwan, where he #continued his #reign as the #ruler of the #Republic of China.
