Tane was born from a line of native islanders from Sulani. His mother was murdered by a crazed nanny and his father died from a mysterious illness. This left him with his child-hating sister who got herself into a life of crime, and became involved with a secretive vampiric cult. Because of this, he was never able to explore his homosexuality.
