Sani is a two-spirit Indigenous American of the Muscogee people. Although two-spirit people often play an important role in native communities, Sani's family did not accept their identity and sought to rehabilitate them by sending them to a conversion camp. Sani fled the camp and did not return to their family, choosing instead to care for themself, but working while finishing school is getting hard.
