An English breed, the Bullmastiff was a result of crossing old Bulldogs and Mastiffs to create a gladiator and excellent guard to protect against poachers and intruders. Activity level varies greatly among individual dogs, but expect moderate activity. As with nearly all mastiff and bull breeds, and due to their history, they may be dog selective or not like dogs of the same sex.
