The Goths are an aristocratic family with a dreary aura and some bad genes on Mortimer's side. So I gave them a makeover to give Alexander a fighting chance for some better facial proportions (not that anything was wrong with him before) . Hopefully even though Mortimer writes macabre stories and Bella's mysterious disappearances, this family makeover will lessen the odds that Cassandra and Alexander grow up to be gloomy.
